Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment? Advanced Logic Industries, Inc. is seeking an Accounting & Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Blacksburg, Virginia. This hybrid position offers flexibility to work from home while remaining connected to a supportive team and dynamic technology-focused business.

What You'll Do

As an Accounting & Purchasing Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Accounting Department and ensuring the smooth execution of financial and procurement processes. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing purchasing and receiving activities through a three-way matching process
Tracking orders and maintaining accurate purchasing records
Preparing and issuing customer invoices and processing returns as needed
Ensuring accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting
Managing accounts receivable and supporting collection efforts
Responding to accounting and procurement inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
Preparing Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports and account reconciliations
Collaborating with team members across multiple departments to support company objectives
Performing additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Associate degree with 4+ years of accounting or purchasing experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience
Understanding of General Ledger accounting and Chart of Accounts
Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience working effectively across teams and departments
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
Experience in the IT industry or familiarity with technology products and services
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems
Familiarity with Autotask, ChannelOnline, or related business applications

This position is primarily remote, with occasional visits required to our Blacksburg office and local banking institutions.
