Office Manager | Stateson Homes | Blacksburg, VA

Stateson Homes, a respected and growing homebuilder serving in the Roanoke-Blacksburg, Lynchburg, Bristol, and other surrounding regions, is seeking an experienced Office Manager to lead and oversee the administrative operations of the organization.

This is a key leadership position for an accomplished office management or business operations professional who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and keeping a growing organization running efficiently. The Office Manager will work closely with company leadership while leading office staff, HR and benefits administration, technology resources, and company-wide administrative processes.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of progressive office management, business operations, or administrative leadership experience and has demonstrated success managing both people and processes within a professional organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop office and administrative staff, fostering a high-performing, accountable, and customer-focused team.
Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure administrative functions effectively support company leadership and business operations.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, policies, and processes and lead the implementation of more efficient operational systems.
Manage full HR administration, including employee benefits, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, personnel documentation, employee handbook/policy development, and coordination with external providers.
Oversee company IT resources, systems, vendors, and technology needs in partnership with third-party providers.
Organize and analyze business data and develop accurate, timely reports for company leadership.
Develop and manage budgets related to personnel, office operations, technology, and other assigned areas.
Coordinate company meetings, special events, and other company-wide initiatives.
Manage relationships with key administrative vendors and service providers.
Serve as a resource to employees and leadership, proactively identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
Help establish scalable administrative processes and infrastructure that support the company's continued growth.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive experience in office management, systems/CRM ownership, business operations, administration, or a related function preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing administrative or office staff.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Experience overseeing multiple business functions such as HR/benefits administration, office operations, IT/vendor management, budgeting, and reporting.
Strong operational judgment with a demonstrated ability to independently identify and solve problems.
Proven ability to improve processes, establish procedures, and create greater efficiency within an organization.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the professionalism to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and company leadership.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience administering a CRM or ERP platform strongly preferred.
