Full Job Description

Summary:

The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator at Qualichem provides regulatory support for all areas of QualiChem’s business. This person coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents and ensures that compliance documents satisfy federal, state, and local government requirements. May assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance controls, procedures, and operational processes. In addition, the Regulatory Affairs Coordinator supports QualiChem’s Quality Management System, specifically ISO 9001:2015. The Regulatory Affairs Coordinator will occasionally be directed in several aspects of the work and will gain exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. All activities are performed in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation practiced at QualiChem.

Essential Job Duties:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Specific Regulatory Functions

a) EPA

Help manage state pesticide sub registrations, submit annual pesticide report, and maintain current labels for pesticide products
Help manage SARA information and submit annual report
Help maintain Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and Oil Discharge Contingency Plan
Participate in local emergency planning committee

b) OSHA

i. Become familiar with the 3E Generate SDS and label authoring software and related GHS requirements pertaining to our products

Safety

i. Work with Operations team to assure that QualiChem conforms to all OSHA requirements
ii. Maintain appropriate records iii. Participate in quarterly safety inspections

c) DOT

Obtain and maintain Hazmat certification
Organize Hazmat certification of applicable QualiChem employees
Support the resolution of shipping issues with carriers as necessary
Provide regulatory support for international shipment of product

d) REACH

Learn relevant regulations
Support annual reporting requirements

e) DHS

Learn relevant regulations
Support annual documentation requirements including auditing

f) Company Training

Manage the online learning management system utilized by the company to meet annual employee training requirements

2. ISO

Become familiar with our Quality Manual and associated documentation and records keeping
Serve as an internal auditor and lead the internal auditor program for ISO 9001:2015
Ensure that documents and records are properly stored and maintained
Prepare the company for yearly external audits of the company QMS

3. Participate in industry trade organizations
4. Customer Support

Provide technical and regulatory support for issues that arise from the use of QualiChem products
Support QualiChem Sales personnel, distributors, and end-users

5. Safety

Read and be familiar with the contents of the Hazard Communication Program and Safety Manual

6. Teamwork

Effectively partner with multiple internal departments to support global compliance efforts
Effectively communicate with customers, customer service, vendors, vendor technical support, etc., in person, on the telephone, and by email
Provide prompt and effective assistance when required by unplanned events

Requires a bachelor’s degree (preferably a Bachelor of Science) and 1 -3 years of related experience or equal combination of experience & education.
