POSITION OVERVIEW:
Catalytic Combustion is immediately hiring for a Mechanical Designer. The Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining 3-D models and 2-D drawings used in product fabrication. Collaborates with Project Managers, Applications Engineers, and Fabricators/Welders in the conceptual design and development of new products, as well as the design and development of tooling and fixtures to support production processes.

What you would be responsible for:

Review project specifications from Engineering, Project Managers, Sales and Customers

Provide support to production and design team

Respond to requests from established or new customer accounts for fabricated or metal products. Provides quotes, design support and overall customer account support

Preparation of sales drawings and coordination of prototype fabrication and testing of products
What we are looking for from you:
-
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design or related discipline or 5+ years experience in Mechanical Design

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Experience with 3-D modeling software, Solidworks is preferred

Strong technical and problem solving skills

Effective verbal and written communication
