Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CPC Certified Medical Biller/Coder to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Vascular and/or Podiatry coding, as well as comprehensive knowledge of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process, including charge entry, payment posting, claims management, and accounts receivable follow-up.

This is an in-office position requiring proficiency in eClinicalWorks (eCW) and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and accurately code medical services using appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.

· Perform specialty coding for Vascular Surgery and/or Podiatry services.

· Enter charges accurately and timely into the practice management system.

· Post insurance and patient payments and reconcile accounts.

· Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments.

· Conduct insurance and patient accounts receivable (AR) follow-up.

· Identify coding and billing issues and recommend corrective actions.

· Verify documentation supports billed services and coding selections.

· Work closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure coding compliance and revenue optimization.

· Maintain current knowledge of payer guidelines, coding updates, and regulatory requirements.

· Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) for billing, coding, claim management, and reporting functions.

· Assist with revenue cycle reporting and performance metrics as needed.

Required Qualifications

· Current CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification required.

· Minimum 3-5 years of medical billing and coding experience.

· Demonstrated experience in Vascular Surgery coding and/or Podiatry coding.

· Strong understanding of the complete Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process.

· Experience with:

o Charge Entry

o Payment Posting

o Accounts Receivable Follow-up

o Denial Management

o Claim Submission and Resolution

· Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (eCW).

· Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

· Additional coding certifications (CPMA, CRC, or specialty certifications).

· Experience in multi-provider physician practices.

· Familiarity with credentialing and payer enrollment processes.
