The Indiana State Park Inns are one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country. We proudly operate seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana that offer a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!
Located just outside Nashville, Indiana, Abe Martin Lodge is nestled in the picturesque hills of Indiana’s largest state park, Brown County State Park. The lodge features 84 guest rooms, the Little Gem Restaurant, cabins, an indoor water park, and over 6,000 square feet of banquet/conference space.
Role Overview:
A Housekeeping Manager is responsible for managing daily housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage daily housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service, and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
- Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely manner.
- Schedule staff according to standards and forecasted occupancies.
- Conduct monthly linen inventory with an understanding of usage.
- Creation and documentation of deep cleaning schedules for all rooms, carpets, and public spaces.
- Maintain open communication between associates and management and monitors associate relations.
- Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling, evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
- Oversee and conduct room inspections.
- Recruit, interview, and train team members.
Role Requirements:
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to all aspects of rooms/suites. Ability to physically move large objects such as carts, large bags of linen, and mattresses. Excellent organization skills, manages time well, correctly prioritizes and is flexible. Able to work weekends and holidays. Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent experience. 2+ years prior housekeeping management experience. Proficient in Windows operating systems.
Salary:

- Central Office – Located in downtown Indianapolis, central office positions aid in centralized leadership, human resources, finance, payroll, and administrative functions.
- Positions may include: Administrative Assistants, Holiday Fulfillment Clerk
- Management – These positions work at Inns properties to support day-to-day operations, ensuring superior guest satisfaction while maximizing hotel profitability.
- Positions may include: HR/Account Coordinators, Sales Coordinators, Department Supervisors, Department Assistant Managers, Night Auditors, Special Projects Coordinators
- Guest Services – These positions serve as front-line customer service to guests of the Inns by providing information, answering questions, resolving issues, and handling monetary responsibilities.
- Positions may include: Store Attendants, Guest Services Agents
- Food & Beverage Services – These positions work in the Inn’s dining facilities to handle all dining room and banquet culinary services for guests.
- Positions may include: Banquet Set-Up Workers, Cashiers/Hostesses/Bussers, Dishwashers, Café Attendants, Prep Workers
- Housekeeping Services – These positions work to maintain a clean and orderly environment including in guest rooms, cabins, and common areas.
- Positions may include: Housekeepers, Laundry Workers
- Call Center Services – These positions work out of the call center to assist guests in making reservations and answer any guest questions all by phone.
- Positions may include: Call Center Agents
- Maintenance Services – These positions handle any maintenance items around the Inn, cabins, kitchen, and pool areas including repairs, preventive maintenance, and remodeling projects.
- Positions may include: Gardeners, Maintenance Techs
- Golf Services – These positions promote the game of golf through operational structure and programming to provide a first-class environment for members and guests.
- Positions may include: Pro Shop Attendants, Groundskeeper, Equipment Tech, Equipment Operator
- Aquatics Services – These positions observe guests in the aquatic center to ensure a fun and safe environment.
- Positions may include: Aquatics Attendants, Lifeguards
