Eyesafe is a global leader in advanced light management, display health, and optical filtering technologies. Our solutions are integrated into products across consumer electronics, accessories, and emerging categories, working with major global brands, manufacturers, retailers, and channel partners. We are looking for an Operations Manager to help strengthen the operational backbone of the company as we scale partnerships, product programs, vendor relationships, and international supply chains.

Role Overview

The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operational workflows across logistics, international shipping, vendor coordination, production support, inventory movement, and cross-functional execution. This person will work closely with leadership, product, sales, finance, engineering, and external partners to ensure materials, products, samples, documentation, and shipments move smoothly across domestic and international channels. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complexity across multiple vendors, countries, timelines, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & International Shipping

Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including samples, components, finished goods, marketing materials, and partner-related product movements.
Manage shipping documentation, customs forms, commercial invoices, export/import paperwork, tracking, and delivery follow-up.
Work with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and international logistics partners to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.
Troubleshoot shipping delays, customs issues, lost shipments, documentation gaps, and partner delivery concerns.
Maintain visibility into shipment status and proactively communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Vendor & Supplier Management

Serve as a key operational point of contact for international and domestic vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers.
Coordinate purchase orders, vendor timelines, sample requests, production updates, and delivery schedules.
Track vendor performance, including responsiveness, quality, delivery timing, documentation, and cost.
Help onboard new vendors and maintain accurate vendor records, contacts, contracts, shipping requirements, and payment details.
Support communication across time zones with global partners and suppliers.

Operational Coordination

Build and maintain systems for tracking product samples, inventory, shipments, vendor deliverables, timelines, and operational priorities.
Support cross-functional programs involving sales, business development, product, engineering, legal, finance, and leadership.
Help ensure that customer, retailer, carrier, and partner requests are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Identify bottlenecks in operational workflows and recommend process improvements.
Create and maintain SOPs, checklists, trackers, and documentation to improve consistency and scalability.

Inventory, Samples & Product Flow

Manage inventory visibility for samples, components, prototypes, finished goods, and partner program materials.
Coordinate sample allocation, packaging, labeling, shipping, and follow-up for customer meetings, retailer programs, technical evaluations, and business development efforts.
Work with internal teams to forecast upcoming operational needs tied to launches, pilots, partner demos, trade shows, and product development milestones.
Ensure accurate recordkeeping for materials sent to vendors, customers, partners, labs, and internal stakeholders.

Compliance, Documentation & Process

Maintain organized records for shipping documents, vendor communications, purchase orders, invoices, customs paperwork, product specifications, and operational approvals.
Support compliance with import/export requirements, customer documentation requests, and vendor onboarding requirements.
Help ensure internal teams have access to accurate operational data, shipping status, vendor updates, and program timelines.
Work with finance to support invoice review, payment tracking, cost reconciliation, and vendor billing questions.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, vendor management, international shipping, or a related role.
Experience coordinating international shipments, customs documentation, commercial invoices, freight forwarders, and global vendors.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many moving parts across multiple projects and time zones.
Experience working with overseas suppliers, manufacturers, or product partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ownership.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Proficient with tools such as Excel/Google Sheets, project management software, shipping platforms, ERP/inventory systems, or CRM tools.
Ability to work independently, solve problems, and escalate issues appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in consumer electronics, accessories, displays, hardware, optical products, manufacturing, or technology products.
Familiarity with purchase orders, bills of materials, product sampling, production timelines, and vendor qualification.
Experience supporting major retailers, carriers, OEMs, or global brand partners.
Knowledge of import/export compliance, Incoterms, HTS codes, customs brokers, and international freight processes.
Experience coordinating trade shows, partner demos, or sales sample programs.
Comfort working with teams across the U.S., Asia, and Europe.
