Treatment & Exercise Chiropractic Assistant (TECA)
Help Us Help More People More
At Action Wellness, our mission is to help as many people as possible experience as many benefits as possible through chiropractic care. We do that by creating an effective, efficient, and enjoyable healthcare experience for both our patients and our team.
We’re looking for a Treatment & Exercise Chiropractic Assistant (TECA) who wants to play an active role in helping patients get better results—not simply move them through appointments.
Hours & Schedule
This position can be full-time or part-time, depending on availability and fit.
Our primary patient-care shifts are generally:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday mornings: 6:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.
- Monday–Thursday afternoons: 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
Wednesday mornings are different. Rather than beginning with patients at 6:00 a.m., we reserve this time for training, team meetings, professional development, and projects that help move our mission forward. Team members should be prepared to participate in Wednesday morning activities as scheduled.
Our schedule isn't traditional—and that's intentional. The split shifts allow us to serve patients before and after their workday while creating a substantial break in the middle of the day for personal errands, gym time, family time, classes etc. Additional flex hours are allocated for special projects each quarter.
What You’ll Do
As a TECA, you’ll work directly with patients throughout their care. As the lead clinical assistant in training you’ll become certified to:
- Administer rehabilitation and basic clinical exam functions
- Guide patients through personalized exercises and therapies
- Watch how patients perform exercises and provide real-time course correction
- Help patients understand what they’re doing and why it matters
- Recognize when a patient may benefit from an additional service or conversation with the doctor
- Look for opportunities to help great patient experiences reach more people through Google reviews, testimonials, and referrals
- Keep treatment and rehabilitation areas organized, prepared, and moving efficiently
- Support the doctors and the rest of the team wherever needed to create an exceptional patient experience
No chiropractic experience or certification is required. We provide on-the-job training with opportunities for advancement and additional certifications.
Who We’re Looking For
This is a good fit for someone who:
- Enjoys working directly with people and is comfortable providing both praise and correction to improve patient positioning and execution of prescribed protocols
- Is energetic, warm, and comfortable starting conversations
- Pays attention and notices when something doesn’t look or feel right
- Is coachable and wants feedback
- Takes ownership instead of waiting to be told every next step
- Can follow systems while still thinking on their feet
- Wants to continually improve personally and professionally
- Likes being part of a team with high expectations
- You must be able to stand for the entire shift, push, pull, reach, stoop, and help lift and move patients on occasion.
You do not need to know everything when you start.
You do need to be willing to learn, practice, accept correction, take pride in your work, and become excellent at what you do.
What “Help More People More” Means
Help people more: Give the patient in front of you your attention, help them perform their care correctly, notice barriers to their progress, and look for appropriate ways we may be able to improve their results.
Help more people: When patients have a great experience, help them share it. Reviews, testimonials, and referrals allow people who need help to hear about Action Wellness from the people who have actually experienced our care.
The checklists and systems of the role are nonnegotiable—but simply completing a checklist isn't enough. We want someone who begins to understand why we do what we do and actively looks for opportunities to make the patient experience and results better.
