Overview:
The Provider Recruiter coordinates /implements the provider recruiting process for permanent physician and APP searches across the Carle Health system. This position is a hybrid role with onsite requirements.
Responsibilities:
Provider Recruitment Strategy and Execution

Manage the full provider recruitment process, from initial contact with prospective leaders and physicians through hiring.

Plan, develop, and direct strategic provider recruitment initiatives aligned with organizational needs and goals.

Outline recruitment opportunity details to support proactive sourcing and candidate engagement strategies.

Develop improvements to staffing processes, including sourcing and selection, and recommend recruitment strategies accordingly.
Leadership Consultation and Candidate Assessment

Provide leadership with relevant market data and insights to help inform recruitment decisions for open positions.

Guide leaders and candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Conduct telephone interviews using strong listening and questioning skills to build applicant interest and assess position and behavioral fit.

Prepare brief candidate summaries beyond the resume or CV and present relevant information to leadership for consideration.

Partner with leadership to evaluate candidates and make hiring recommendations based on the opportunity, candidate qualifications, and organizational fit.
Candidate Experience and Organizational Representation

Present Carle as a world-class healthcare organization by effectively showcasing the organization, community, and culture to candidates.

Act as a liaison among candidates, organizational leaders, and community contacts, including administrators, referring physicians, realtors, school administrators, and potential employers for spouses or significant others.

Coordinate with operations and leadership to plan, implement, and continually evaluate site visits and candidate interviews.

Recommend, coordinate, and attend recruitment dinners, meetings, and events that support candidate engagement.
Compliance, Market Awareness, and Relationship Building

Follow organizational recruitment policies and procedures and perform recruiting activities with consideration of legal, economic, and political factors.

Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the provider candidate pool and national trends affecting candidates and healthcare organizations.

Identify marketing development opportunities based on candidate quality and market conditions.

Build and maintain credibility and trust through visibility, clear communication, and the ability to influence a variety of audiences.

Demonstrate executive presence through professionalism, energy, enthusiasm, and courage.
Collaboration, Tracking, and Professional Engagement

Attend and collaborate in team meetings, departmental meetings, committees, Medical Group physician meetings as needed, and other relevant meetings.

Attend recruitment meetings with leadership to provide activity updates and strategize on hard-to-fill positions and upcoming recruitment needs.

Coordinate with recruitment staff to develop and implement sourcing plans aligned with recruitment strategy and targeted to qualified candidate pools.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date tracking of opportunities and candidate status through the applicant tracking system and other tracking tools.

Organize and participate in conventions, specialty meetings, job fairs, professional meetings, and local community events to maintain visibility and current market knowledge. Some travel is required.

Openly receive feedback and identify opportunities to improve and streamline recruitment processes and procedures.
Qualifications:

Certification: Valid driver’s license through the Illinois Secretary of State.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, marketing, healthcare administration, or equivalent area of study.

Experience: Previous experience in recruiting, marketing, personnel, or related activities is preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Experience with iCims or comparable applicant tracking tools are required.
- Understanding of the healthcare and medical environment is preferred.

Ability to provide onsite support for candidate interviews is required, including travel to the Champaign, Bloomington-Normal, and/or Peoria regions as needed.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $33.38per hour - $57.41per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
