Position Summary
Gym Skills is looking for energetic, patient, and engaging coaches to help create a fun first gymnastics experience for our youngest athletes. As a Preschool & Toddler Gymnastics Coach, you'll teach beginner gymnastics while helping children build confidence, coordination, independence, and a love for movement in a positive, encouraging environment.
This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands that preschoolers learn best through creativity, play, and connection.
Schedule, Availability & Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Monday–Thursday evenings (approximately 3:30 PM–7:00 PM)
- Minimum availability of 3 shifts per week
- Must be available for occasional weekends to support birthday parties and special events
- Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple programs as needed
Compensation
- Paid Training: Once you've successfully completed training and are confidently leading classes independently, you'll transition to a coaching rate of $13.00–$15.00/hour, based on your experience, performance, and readiness.
- Coaches have ongoing opportunities for pay increases as they develop their coaching skills, take on additional responsibilities, and continue growing within the organization.
About Our Preschool Program
Our preschool gymnastics program serves children from walking through 6 years old. Through movement, play, and beginner gymnastics instruction, children develop confidence, coordination, balance, strength, listening skills, and social-emotional growth.
Coaches use obstacle courses, games, songs, themed activities, and creative lesson plans to make every class engaging, active, and fun.

- Gym Tots (Walking–3 Years) – Parent & Child
- Explorers (Ages 3–4½)
- Adventurers (Ages 4½–6)
- Stars (Advanced Preschool by Invitation)
Responsibilities
Coach beginner gymnastics classes for toddlers and preschool-aged children
Create a safe, encouraging, and engaging learning environment
Build positive relationships with athletes and families
Follow Gym Skills lesson plans and coaching curriculum
Help children develop confidence, independence, listening skills, and foundational gymnastics abilities
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe coaching environment
Work collaboratively with teammates and leadership to create an exceptional experience for every family
