Spanish Speaking Night Care Needed For My Mother In Blue Bell, PA
- Weeknights: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
- Night Shift: 9pm-7am
- Day Shift: 7am-9pm
I'm looking for hands-on care for my 90yr old mother.
Requirements
1. Candidates MUST be reliable. Callouts are frowned upon!
2. Tobacco, alcohol and illicit drugs use are unacceptable.
3. Must have reliable transportation to work in Blue Bell, PA. You MUST have your own car, valid registration and insurance. No exceptions since care location isn’t near bus/train station.
4. Be rested, healthy, unimpaired, awake, alert and consciously present during working shift.
5. Follow care duties.
6. Professional appearance and good personal hygiene are required.
7. Medical Home Care experience is preferred but will train the right person.
Job Duties and Patient Needs:
· Assists patient with personal hygiene, physical comfort, nutritional needs, and household activities to ensure a safe and clean environment.
· Communicates effectively and efficiently with the patient, family, and/or caregivers’ team regarding patient’s needs and the services provided.
· Get to know the human beyond the diagnosis or medical conditions. Be genuine, offer companionship and conversation. Unplug from smart phone, listen and care for the patient.
· Utilizes techniques of positioning, body mechanics and body alignment.
· Protect patient’s physical safety and general well-being.
· Ensures patient’s rights, including confidentiality of care.
· Conducts services in caring, professional and ethical manner at all times.
· Assists with performance of procedures to ensure the physical well-being and comfort of the patient.

· Communicates respectfully in a timely manner.
· Maintains a positive, respectful and professional attitude.
· Performs all tasks and duties as assigned and instructed.
· Maintain professional boundaries and uphold the family’s privacy.
Dress code Policy & Appearance Standards:
o Uniform:
§ Scrubs are preferred however casual clothes are acceptable. Clothing must be clean, not broken.
§ Crop pants, capris, leggings are not allowed.
§ Neckline, midriffs and abdominal areas should be covered.
§ Clothing should be free of smell of smoke or any other unpleasant source.
o Appearance:
§ Makeup, perfume should be minimal and considerate to patient and family.
§ Long jewelry (i.e., hoop or dangling earrings, necklaces outside of clothing) should not be worn.
§ Fingernails are to be short (1/4 inch max) and clean.
§ Body piercing such are rings, earring posts in the nose, tongue, eyebrows or other exposed areas than earlobes are no acceptable.
§ Tattoos must be covered in patient care presence.
Female caregiver must be 100% fluent in Spanish language.
This is a must for this shift: 9pm-7 a.m. 'Spanglish' or broken Spanish speaking is NOT accepted. Interview will occur in Spanish language.
- NO agencies.
- Candidate must stay ALERT & AWAKE during the whole night. No shut-eye allowed.
- Must be punctual and able to follow directions.
- Respect the home, treat patient with dignity and respect.
- Must have great customer service, bedside manners, personal as well as communication skills.
- Caregiver needs to be trustworthy, compassionate, dependable, patient and kind with patient.
- Must have a valid email, address, and phone number.
- Must have Transportation & a Valid Driver's License
