We are looking for an experienced Service Desk Consultant to join our team.

As a Service Desk Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, handling inbound support requests via phone, email, and our client portal in a professional and timely manner. This includes all technology-related issues, including workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor-specific hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide IT support for Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.
Support disaster recovery solutions.
Basic technical support at the network level, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
Implement and support remote access solutions such as VPN and Terminal Services
Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications through service tickets.
Maintain and review system documentation in our ticketing system.
Communicate with clients to keep them informed of incident progress and any changes or outages.

Additional Duties:

Enhance client service, perception, and satisfaction.
Ensure fast turnaround of customer requests.
Work effectively in a team and communicate efficiently.
Collaborate with the Service Desk Dispatcher to route requests to the appropriate resource.
Escalate service requests that require higher-level support.
Record time and expenses accurately in our ticketing system.
Complete assigned training and understand internal processes and workflows.
Enter all work as service tickets with accurate and thorough documentation.
Participate in after-hours support on-call responsibilities.
Assist in managing the monitoring portal and alert notifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
Strong interpersonal skills, including telephone etiquette, communication, active listening, and customer care.
Skilled in diagnosing technical issues remotely.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changes quickly.
Technically aware to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
Awareness of key services provided by the organization.
Understanding of support tools and techniques used to deliver services.
Typing skills for quick and accurate entry of service request details.
Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
Industry certifications are a plus.
At least 1 year of IT or related experience.
Valid driver’s license and personal automobile.
