Temporary Pharmacist - Long-Term Care Pharmacy

Location: Warrington, PA 18976
Pay: $80-$85/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Assignment: August 24, 2026 - End of November/Early December 2026

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed Pharmacist to join a Long-Term Care/Post-Acute Care pharmacy in Warrington, PA for a seasonal assignment running from August 24th through the end of November or early December. This role will support the day-to-day dispensing operations while ensuring medication accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacist looking for competitive pay, a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, and the opportunity to gain valuable Long-Term Care pharmacy experience.

What You'll Do

Verify the completeness and accuracy of all new and refill medication orders and labels.
Review medication packaging and labeling, including emergency drug kits and IV medications.
Maintain accurate resident profiles, including medical history, laboratory information, and current medications.
Assist with the ordering, receiving, handling, documentation, and storage of controlled substances.
Maintain and reconcile perpetual inventories for Schedule II controlled substances in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Provide clinical expertise and respond to medication-related questions from internal staff and external customers.
Document communication with physicians, nurses, healthcare professionals, patients/residents, and family members in the medical record.
Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of sterile IV medications and solutions.
Help maintain an efficient workflow and ensure appropriate outcomes.
Follow all applicable state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed or during scheduled rotations.
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

Required:

Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
Bachelor's Degree or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
Ability to accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications.
Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.

Preferred:

Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience.
Experience with FrameworkLTC.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with IV admixtures and intravenous therapy.
Acute-care or production pharmacy experience.
Pharmacy management experience.
