Tax Manager

SD Associates P.C., a leading CPA firm renowned for providing exceptional tax and advisory services to a diverse clientele, is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team. This position is full-time and will work from our office in Elkins Park, with hybrid flexibility.

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Manager to join our team of skilled professionals. The Tax Manager will play a crucial role in leading our tax department, overseeing a team of tax professionals, and providing strategic tax planning and compliance services to clients.

Responsibilities include:

Provide high quality tax services to entrepreneurial businesses and individuals.
Prepare and manage tax engagements.
Review complex tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns, to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their tax-related inquiries and providing proactive advice to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, including identifying tax-saving opportunities and recommending tax-efficient structures for business transactions.
Collaborate with partners and other department heads to develop and implement tax strategies that align with clients' overall financial goals.
Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to stay abreast of changes and developments and communicate potential impacts to clients and internal stakeholders.
Devise and implement tax strategies and advise clients on the tax impact.
Ability to supervise and mentor a team of tax accountants and specialists.

Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years of public tax experience, including previous experience working for a CPA firm
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA license and/or a Master of Science in Taxation
Working knowledge of Internal Revenue Code and experience with the IRS
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage engagements
Ability to adhere to a high degree of professional standards and client confidentiality
