Full Job Description

OVERVIEW

Joseph’s Finest Meats is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our growing team. We are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, cleanliness, and customer service.

This is an opportunity to work in a respected, quality-driven butcher shop focused on traditional techniques, premium products, and exceptional customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cut, trim, portion, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and specialty meats
Prepare custom cuts and maintain high presentation standards
Produce fresh sausages and value-added products according to house methods and quality standards
Operate grinders, slicers, saws, and other meat-processing equipment safely
Assist with merchandising, display preparation, and inventory rotation
Maintain clean and organized workstations in compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service when needed
Maintain consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail in all production

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous professional butcher or meat cutter experience required
Strong knife skills and understanding of meat fabrication
Experience with sausage making or value-added production is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
Food safety and sanitation knowledge preferred
Bilingual skills are a plus (Spanish or Polish)
