Join our team as a Part-Time Tax Consultant / Technical Tax Advisor and become a trusted resource for complex tax matters while helping our team deliver exceptional client service.

As our firm continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced tax professional who can serve as a technical expert, advisor, and mentor to our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex tax issues, researching challenging questions, and helping fellow professionals navigate sophisticated tax matters.

Your Day-To-Day May Include:

Providing technical guidance on complex federal and state tax matters and advising staff and CFOs on challenging tax issues
Reviewing complex tax returns and supporting workpapers to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
Assisting with entity structuring, reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, distributions, and basis calculations as it relates to tax matters
Researching tax positions and documenting conclusions using applicable tax law and regulations
Identifying tax planning opportunities and potential risk areas
Assisting with responses to IRS and state tax notices
Supporting staff development through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing
Recommending quality control procedures and technical best practices

Qualified Candidates Might:

Hold an active CPA or EA credential
Have 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, tax consulting, or a related professional services environment
Have extensive experience with: C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships and LLCs, Complex individual taxation, Multi-state taxation
Possess strong tax research and technical writing skills
Be comfortable communicating complex tax concepts clearly
Have experience reviewing tax returns and providing guidance to other tax professionals

Plus:

Experience consulting with small and mid-sized businesses
Deep expertise in pass-through entity taxation and basis calculations
Prior mentoring, supervisory, or technical review responsibilities
Familiarity with Drake Tax, QuickBooks Online, Xero, or other cloud-based accounting systems
Expertise with Real Estate tax matters
