$400–$600/hr · Remote · You choose your caseload

Practice medicine without adding another clinic schedule. If RVUs, call, and inbox overload have crowded out the part of medicine you actually enjoy, this role offers a flexible way to put your clinical experience to work.

As a collaborating physician, you’ll support experienced Missouri Nurse Practitioners through a simple remote rhythm—two structured touchpoints per month, focused chart review, and availability when meaningful clinical questions arise. We handle the administrative machinery with agreement support, templates, reminders, malpractice coverage, and a platform designed to keep everything organized.

About the role

Part-time, remote Collaborating Physician (must live in MO) supporting experienced Nurse Practitioners under Missouri Collaborative Practice Arrangements.

You choose your panel size and availability. There is no clinic call, no RVU pressure, and no full-time administrative burden—just focused clinical collaboration with experienced NPs who value your expertise.

What you’ll do

Review and approve NPs before beginning each collaboration.
Enter into and maintain a Missouri Collaborative Practice Arrangement.
Participate in brief clinical collaboration touchpoints every two weeks.
Review the required sample of patient charts every 14 days, including the applicable controlled-substance charts.
Remain available for consultation when clinical questions arise.
If asked, provide thoughtful guidance on complex cases, treatment decisions, and meaningful changes in patient condition.
Document collaboration activities.

Time & structure

Contract · Part-time · 100% Remote
You choose your panel size and availability.

Compensation

$400–$650 per NP per month - if spending one hour per NP per month, that equals $400-$650/hour.

Illustrative monthly snapshots (actuals vary by panel & time):

3 PMHNPs: approximately $1,500–$1,950 per month
5 PMHNPs: approximately $2,500–$3,250 per month
6 PMHNPs: approximately $3,000–$3,900 per month

Multi-State Expansion: Many psychiatrists licensed in multiple states earn >$10,000 monthly by adding collaborations in GA + other licensed states (assignments comply with each state’s rules).

Requirements (Missouri)

MD/DO Psychiatrist (board-certified or board-eligible).
Active Missouri medical license and active DEA + BNDD, Living in Missouri
Comfortable supervising under a Nurse Protocol Agreement and meeting Missouri collaboration and quality review standards.
Comfortable with collaboration workflows and timely documentation.

Nice to have

Additional active state licenses (optional).
Prior experience collaborating with NPs.
