Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Short Order Cook to join our vibrant culinary team! In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals quickly and efficiently, ensuring each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise in food preparation, menu execution, and kitchen operations will help create a lively dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, adhering to recipes and portion guidelines.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production appliances.
Maintain strict food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques.
Assist in menu planning to ensure timely meal delivery and optimal kitchen workflow.
Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals that meet dietary restrictions or preferences.
Ensure consistent quality by adhering to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
Collaborate with team members to manage high-volume food production during busy service hours.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and ensure all kitchen areas comply with health regulations.
Participate in food safety management practices, including proper storage, labeling, and inventory control.
Contribute to a positive team environment by serving as a reliable team player committed to excellent service.

Experience

Proven food service experience in fast-paced restaurant or catering environments, preferably with fine dining or high-volume production backgrounds.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly.
Demonstrated proficiency with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
Experience with food safety sanitizing procedures and maintaining hygiene standards in commercial kitchens.
Familiarity with dietary aide practices, menu planning, and accommodating dietary restrictions is a plus.
Excellent knife skills and ability to follow recipes accurately for consistent results.
Prior experience working in the food industry or restaurant setting that emphasizes quality, speed, and customer satisfaction.
