Full Job Description

Now hiring a Full-Time receptionist to join our team. Normal work hours are: Monday through Friday starting at 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must have at least two years experience in medical office receptionist. The receptionist will be required to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, collecting demographic information, entering information into the EHR, answering multiple phone lines, scanning, typing, uploading documents into the EHR, returning calls to physicians offices and/or clients, filing paperwork, cleaning the office, and any other tasks necessary. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, excellent organizational skills, and be a team player. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may occasionally require working past 5 or some weekends so flexibility is a plus. Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure clients feel welcome and valued, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Check clients in by greeting, welcoming, and checking for information changes as soon as they arrive at the office as well as check the chart for any expired documentation
Maintain professionalism in stressful situations
Answer, screen and handle incoming phone calls
Ensure the office and parking lot is tidy and presentable, and stocked with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. tissue, soap, water, pens, forms and brochures)
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
Update calendars and schedule office meetings when necessary
Maintain paper and electronic charts
Keep updated records of office supplies
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing
Take copays and payments
Clean and sanitize the offices and common areas
Fill in as needed in other positions

Skills

Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
Professional attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Customer service attitude
High school degree or GED required
Additional certification in Office Management is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
