POSITION: Food Service Chef Manager/Director

LOCATION: Magnolia Manor, St Mary's GA

DIVISION: Healthcare

SALARY: 50K (FT/Perm, Mon-Friday daylight)

This position is located in the gorgeous coastal FL/GA line region between beautiful Jekyll Island and Amelia Island. Magnolia Manor is an upscale Senior Living campus. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Chef ready for a GM role, and room to grow in the Contract Dining Services Industry.

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have an opening for a Rock Star Culinary and Hospitality driven Chef Manager who shares our passion for Food and Service as well as the CULINARY CHOPS to design, implement and oversee a delicious menu for our valued clients and guests. This is a GENERAL MANAGER role for an experienced Hospitality and Culinary Director. MUST BE A TRAINED CHEF.

Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef Manager/General Manager to lead our healthcare food service operations in the <LOCATION> area. This role is all about overseeing the entire culinary and dietary department, ensuring that our patients, staff, and visitors receive top-notch, nutritious, and delicious meals in a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a love for food management, and a knack for creating a positive dining experience within a healthcare setting. If you thrive in managing teams, enjoy fine dining standards, and have a background in food service management, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact.

Duties

Lead and supervise the dietary team, including chefs, cooks, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and safety.
Manage menu planning with an emphasis on nutritious options tailored to patient needs while incorporating diverse culinary techniques.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff and patients alike.
Control inventory levels through effective inventory management practices; oversee ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction.
Coordinate catering services and special meal requests for hospital events or patient needs with precision and professionalism.
Implement shift management strategies to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while maintaining excellent service standards.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in food service or hospitality environments, preferably within healthcare or fine dining settings.
Extensive culinary experience including food production, food handling, and kitchen management skills.
Familiarity with dietary department operations, menu planning, and catering services in a healthcare context.
Strong background in food safety protocols, inventory control, and food service management best practices.
Experience with banquet events or large-scale catering is highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership ability to manage diverse teams effectively while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Knowledge of the food industry trends, including culinary techniques and hospitality standards applicable to healthcare facilities.
