Position Summary
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) serves as the senior nursing executive, responsible for the strategic direction, quality, and operational performance of all nursing and designated patient care services.
This role provides 24/7 leadership accountability for:
- Clinical quality and patient safety
- Nursing workforce performance and engagement
- Regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice
- Resource and financial management
The CNO partners with executive leadership, the medical staff, and the governing board to advance organizational strategy and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience (ACNO, Director, or equivalent) in a complex hospital setting

Demonstrated success in clinical operations, quality improvement, and workforce leadership
Education & Licensure

Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required
-
Active RN license required
-
CENP, NEA-BC, or similar certification preferred
