A loving family in Bulverde, TX (78163) is seeking a flexible and nurturing Nanny/Household Support to provide full-time, long term care for their 2 year old, beginning as soon as possible.
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday - 7:30am-10:30am & 3:30pm-9:00pm
Wednesday & Thursday - 7:30am-11:00am & 3:30pm-9:00pm
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide before- and after-school care for the child, including school drop-offs, pick-ups, and transportation to extracurricular activities such as ballet and Little Gym.
- Transport child to and from doctor appointments, dental appointments, and other scheduled commitments.
- Prepare and serve breakfast daily and assist with reheating lunch and dinner when the family chef is unavailable.
- Coordinate and discuss child's weekly schedule with the family to ensure smooth planning and communication.
- Feed and walk the dog, and assist with pet-related care as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping- tidying common areas, cleaning up after meals, and maintaining an organized home environment.
- Assist with family errands, household tasks, and general family support as needed throughout the week.
- Support the household with light meal preparation and family assistance duties when requested.
- Be available for occasional travel with the family and provide coverage during holidays and sick days when needed.
- Travel ready (to include valid passport), either domestic or international.
The ideal candidate is structured yet gentle, providing consistent guidance through redirection, positive reinforcement, and respectful communication rather than physical discipline or harsh language. They create a nurturing environment that encourages learning, emotional development, and age-appropriate independence while maintaining clear boundaries. The caregiver must be knowledgeable about African American health and experienced with African American hair and can support the child's development with cultural awareness and understanding. As a non-denominational Christian household, the family would also appreciate a nanny who is comfortable incorporating age-appropriate religious teachings and values into daily interactions in a positive and supportive manner.
Note: The family has a Pomeranian dog in the household. Family vehicle will be provided when completing errands or services related to the family
Compensation: $40/hr (401k, Health & Dental, PTO, Major Holidays off)
