Core ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience

Lead with a guest-first mindset in every decision.
Ensure every guest receives friendly, fast, and memorable service.
Resolve guest concerns quickly, professionally, and generously.
Maintain smooth guest flow, especially during busy periods.

Leadership & Team Development

Hire, train, coach, and develop exceptional team members.
Build a positive, accountable, and encouraging culture.
Develop future leaders within the restaurant.
Conduct timely performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
Make employment decisions, including hiring, promotions, and terminations when necessary.
Create efficient schedules that support both the business and your team.

Operational Excellence

Maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed consistently.
Keep the restaurant, equipment, and workspaces clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Protect brand standards through consistency and attention to detail.

Financial Management

Manage sales, profitability, and restaurant budgets.
Monitor food cost, labor cost, and controllable expenses.
Review reports regularly and make informed operational decisions to improve performance.

Administrative Responsibilities

Balance cash drawers and complete daily banking procedures.
Receive and verify inventory deliveries.
Maintain accurate inventory counts and records.
Complete required reports, documentation, and communication logs.

Marketing & Community Engagement

Lead local store marketing initiatives.
Grow catering sales and community partnerships.
Represent Gyro Shack positively within the community.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with all company policies and all applicable federal, state, county, and local regulations.
Maintain health, food safety, labor, and workplace safety standards at all times.

Daily Responsibilities

Opening

Perform security and facility inspections.
Complete restaurant walk-through.
Verify meat and pita counts.
Set up cash drawers.
Review the Manager Communication Log.
Prepare the restaurant for an exceptional guest experience.

Throughout the Day

Lead and support the team on the floor.
Ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality.
Monitor restaurant cleanliness and organization.
Check product freshness and food temperatures at least three times daily.
Monitor lighting, music, temperature, and overall guest comfort.
Receive vendor deliveries and maintain inventory accuracy.

Closing

Complete final inventory counts.
Run end-of-day reports.
Balance and secure cash drawers.
Lock all funds in the safe.
Ensure the restaurant is clean, stocked, and secure before leaving.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant leadership or management experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer and reporting proficiency.
Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work in confined spaces and perform all essential restaurant functions.
Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards, including being well-groomed with facial hair maintained at 1/8 inch or shorter.
