Job Summary
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Bakery Assistant, where your passion for baking and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of items with precision and creativity. Your culinary skills will contribute to an exceptional customer experience, ensuring each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your baking skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values your enthusiasm and commitment.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and bake items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Assist with menu planning and baking schedules
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling procedures and cleaning protocols
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, mixers, grills, and other culinary tools
Support food preparation activities for catering events or large orders, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality
Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal service, serving dishes promptly and courteously to guests or customers
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing or substitutions are necessary

Qualifications

Proven experience in baking, pastry, food preparation, cooking, or a related role within the food industry or restaurant setting
Previous experience with dough production and equipment
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with other departments
Ability to comfortably lift 80lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time
