Job description:

System Tech has been installing low voltage systems across the Northwest since 1997. We work on security cameras, access control, fire alarm, structured cabling, fiber optics, and AV systems for commercial and institutional customers throughout Idaho and across the country. At System Tech, we bring the technical expertise our clients depend on. We invest in our people through hands-on training, certification support, and a clear path to advance.

ROLES & PAY — ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS WELCOME

Pay rate is based on experience

Installer $16–$20/hr · 0–2 yrs

Technician $20–$28/hr · 2–4 yrs

Lead Technician $25–$32+ /hr · 4+ yrs · field leadership

Special Systems Technician $24–$36+ /hr · 3+ yrs · CCTV, access control, fire alarm, AV

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Install, terminate, test, and document low voltage cabling systems (Cat6/6A, fiber, coax)
Build out telecom rooms, pathways, and equipment spaces to industry standards
Work on security cameras, access control, fire alarm, AV, and intercom systems (upper tiers)
Lead crews, manage job site execution, and own quality control (Lead tier)
Troubleshoot, service, and program special systems independently (Special Systems tier)
Represent STI professionally on every job site

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Reliable, self-motivated, and accountable — you show up and do the work
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and on active construction sites
Clean driving record; able to operate a company vehicle
Upper tiers: BICSI, NICET, AVIXA, and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
Authorized to work in the United States

WHAT YOU GET

Pay: $14–$35 +/hr based on tier and experience — higher pay possible for highly qualified applicants
Schedule: Mon–Thu 10-hour shifts — Fridays, weekends, and nights are sometimes required based on project schedules and deadlines. Overtime pay and wage differentials are available on some projects
Health Insurance: Heavily employer-subsidized for employee and dependents
401(k): With up to 4% company match
Training: Classroom and field training provided; certification costs covered (training agreements may apply)
Travel: Per diem and travel pay on out-of-area projects
Tools & Vehicle: Specialty equipment provided by the company. Company vehicles are assigned based on job duties and not guaranteed for all positions.
