Boise Heights Family Seeking Part-Time Nanny/Caregiver
Family is seeking a fun, self-starter, creative, and willing-to-learn nanny/caregiver to care for their two children (ages 12 and 14 years old). Primary care will be for the 12-year-old who has special needs/cerebral palsy, with occasional requests for transportation for older child.
Schedule: * Family has the flexibility and desire to meet best-fit nanny/caregiver needs in terms of hours/schedule outside of what is listed below. Please apply within if genuinely interested.
School Year Schedule: *12 y/o last year of Elementary (26-27). Transition to Jr. High (27-28); start time will vary.
- Monday: 8:00 am - 9:30a & 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
- Tuesday: 8:00 am - 9:30 am & 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
- Wednesday: 8:00 aam - 9:30 am & 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
- Thursday: 8:00 am - 9:30 am & 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
- Friday: 7:15 am - 9:30 am & 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (1-2 per month, scheduled with advance notice)
Typical Summer Schedule:
- 8:00a - 6:00p (10-hour days, three to four days a week, specific days can be discussed)*

The 12-year-old has cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, behaavior issues, and speech/developmental delays. He is verbal, ambulatory but developmentally about age 6-7 years old. Child is independent in some areas however he needs 1:1 supervision, assistance meal prepping/eating, toileting, and playing outside. Occasional seizures that require management. He is making great strides and getting more independent all the time. He is an incredibly happy and joyful child.
Nanny/caregiver needs to feel comfortable taking the 12-year-old to therapy after school, as well as balancing at-home therapy “homework”, focusing on the child's academics, and fun play/outings. Nanny/caregiver should be genuinely interested in the child's success. Special needs experience Preferred but not necessary, as hands-on training will be provided within the position.
Nanny/caregiver will help the older child (14) with occasional pick-up/drop-off.
- Special needs experience is preferred; however not necessary.
- 20+ years old with at least some college / completed degree in a relevant field.
- Candidate should have the ability to clearly communicate about the daily activities, therapy, and recommendations, and whereabouts (ie. organized).
- Candidate will support the children’s development in a way that supports the daily routine and parenting goals.
Light household attention requested: dishes, tidying up the home, and cleaning up after themselves and the children throughout the day. Light dinner preparation on certain days is requested.
Candidate must be dog-friendly. Australian Labradoodle.
