Full Job Description

At New Hope Services, we believe that everyone deserves to live with dignity, comfort, and independence in the place they call home.

We provide compassionate in-home care for seniors, and individuals with disabilities, offering personalized support that meets each client's unique needs.

Our caregivers assist with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility and companionship. While we do not administer medication, our team is dedicated to supporting health, safety, and quality of life through attentive, hands-on care.

We have a few female clients who are looking for female caregivers to work mid-morning to around 8pm. One client who would like overnight if the caregiver has Hoyer lift experience.

Duties - Not limited to:

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistance devices
Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare teams
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care, ensuring a safe environment and engaging activities
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living areas, laundry, and maintaining overall hygiene standards in the home

Requirements

Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
Hoyer lift experiance is a plus
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges including autism or other cognitive impairments
Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of health deterioration or emergencies
Physical ability for heavy lifting, assisting with mobility devices like Hoyer lifts, and performing routine caregiving tasks
Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and social workers while following detailed care plans
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often necessary for home visits
Ability to pass a background check
