Desking & Finance Manager Who Leads With Trust
Maverick Car Company – Boise, Idaho
Who We Are
Maverick Car Company exists to prove something simple (but rare):
you can run a successful car business without sacrificing people, integrity, or trust.
The car industry hasn’t earned much faith. We’re here to change that; not with gimmicks or pressure, but by building a better experience from the inside out. We believe great businesses are built by great people, clear expectations, and leaders who care deeply about how work gets done.
If a used car dealership can be honest, human, disciplined, and community-minded and still win, then maybe there’s more hope in unexpected places than people think.
That’s the mission.
The Role
If you’ve spent time in the car industry, this role might sound like desking and finance combined. In practice, it’s very different from the traditional model of working deals from behind the tower, directing conversations at a distance, or stepping in only when something needs to be “closed.”
This role leads from the front.
You are actively engaged with clients early and often; building rapport, understanding their situation, and helping guide both the client and the Client Advisor through the process with clarity and confidence. You’re not managing deals from behind the scenes; you’re part of the experience from the beginning.
For our Client Advisors, you are both coach and quarterback; the steady guide who helps structure deals, conduct the sales process, and elevate how the team operates, while working side-by-side with advisors and meeting clients on a personal level.
You’ll own the sales experience from appointment through delivery. This includes deal structure, financing, compliance, contracting, and back-end execution while actively teaching and coaching Client Advisors in real time.
This is a leadership role built on influence, trust, and collaboration; not pressure, tactics, or ego.
This is not a traditional desk or F&I role.
How the deal is built matters just as much as the result.
What You’ll Be Responsible For

Trade Appraisals & Valuation
- Appraise trades accurately using current market knowledge
- Structure equity correctly and explain the rationale clearly
- Keep numbers fair and the experience high-trust
Coach in Real Time
- Work alongside the Client Experience Manager to train and develop Client Advisors
- Coach live, on the floor; not just in meetings
- Reinforce consistency across deals, advisors, and the Maverick sales process
What Success Looks Like
- Clients feel informed, respected, and confident and refer others because of it
- Advisors feel supported, educated, and set up to win
- Deals feel calm, clear, and professional

- Can balance financial acumen with empathy and clarity
- Hold high standards without ego
- Stay calm under pressure and bring stability to the deal flow

- A growing business with room to deepen your craft and influence how things are done
- A role that values integrity as much as results
