Job Type: Part-time
Location: Boise, Idaho - In Person
Schedule: Approximately 3 days per week / 20–25 hours per week to start
Pay: $17–$19/hour, depending on experience
About Us:
SB Studios is a fast-growing, creator-focused podcast and video production company based in Boise. Since 2020, we've produced more than 150 podcasts and hundreds of episodes for entrepreneurs, corporations, creators, community leaders, and organizations.
As we build our next phase of business, and we continue to grow our client roster, we are looking for an experienced Video Podcast Editor who can join our production team and contribute quickly.
This is not an entry-level editing position. We're looking for someone who already has a strong editing foundation, understands what makes content engaging, and can work independently within an established production workflow.
What You’ll Do
- Edit multi-camera video podcasts and audio into polished, professional episodes.
- Edit short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
- Identify strong hooks, moments, and pacing opportunities within client content.
- Perform basic audio cleanup, leveling, and synchronization.
- Create and/or assist with graphics, captions, thumbnails, and other visual elements as needed.
- Follow established client styles, templates, workflows, and production standards.
- Manage assigned editing projects from raw footage through final deliverables.
- Make revisions based on internal and client feedback.
- Collaborate with our Lead Editor and production team to maintain consistent quality and turnaround times.
- Stay current with editing techniques, content trends, AI tools, and emerging production technology that can improve our workflow.
What We’re Looking For:
- 1-2 years of video editing experience or a portfolio demonstrating equivalent professional-level ability.
- Strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve.
- Experience editing multi-camera video.
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, hooks, and audience retention.
- Experience creating short-form vertical content.
- Working knowledge of audio editing and cleanup.
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to follow established workflows and meet deadlines.
- Ability to receive feedback and consistently apply it to future projects.
- Comfortable managing assigned projects without constant supervision.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a growing production team
Preferred (not required):
- Podcast editing.
- YouTube editing.
- Social media content production.
- Client or agency production environments.
- Photoshop or other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Experience using AI-assisted editing or production tools.
What Success Looks Like
We're looking for someone who can be given raw footage, an established workflow, client references, and project expectations and confidently take the project toward a finished product.
You'll have support from our team and Lead Editor, but we're specifically looking for an editor who already understands the fundamentals and does not need to be taught editing from the ground up.
A degree in film, media, broadcasting, marketing, or a related field is welcome but not required. Your portfolio, experience, and ability matter more to us.
Schedule & Growth
This position will begin at approximately three days per week / 20–25 hours per week, depending on production needs.
As SB Studios continues to grow and you demonstrate consistency, quality, and reliability, there will be opportunities for additional hours, compensation growth, and greater responsibility within the production team.
Compensation
$17 - $19/hr depending on experience and demonstrated ability.
Why Join SB Studios
- Work on real projects for a growing roster of clients.
