Overview
Bolivar Health & Rehabilitation is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences. This role is essential in ensuring that meals are prepared according to dietary guidelines while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. The Dietary Cook will work collaboratively with the dietary department to create nutritious and delicious meals that cater to the needs of our clients.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary requirements.
Assist in menu planning, ensuring a diverse selection of options that meet nutritional standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Handle food with care, following proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination.
Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service.
Demonstrate excellent knife skills and culinary techniques during food preparation.
Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality service in fine dining settings.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and fine dining experience.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
Excellent knife skills and experience in meal preparation for various dietary needs.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience in catering and serving is a plus, along with general restaurant or kitchen experience.
