Department: Campus Dining - Sanford Commons - 170380

Minimum Qualifications
Experience in food preparation or service activities in a commercial kitchen; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Special Note: This is a generalized representation of positions in this class and is not intended to reflect essential functions per ADA. Examples of competencies are typical of the majority of positions, but may not be applicable to all functions.

License/Certification Required

Essential Job Functions
Duties include preparing sub shop and pizza shop for daily service; delegating to student employee; filling in as needed in the coffee venue; assisting in the service of food to customers; working in the sub shop, pizza shop, and coffee shop; and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. All ASU Food Service employees are required to work during home football games or any other special campus event as needed. Campus work location may vary depending on the event.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
This position requires the knowledge of culinary principles, practices, and procedures of food service production. Basic math skills and ability to scale recipes. Knowledge of NC Health Department food and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer Food Service experience in a commercial kitchen

Work Schedule/Hours: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm; Weekend Work required, typically off one weekday and rotating weekend days. Summer hours vary Employee may be required to work at least three home football games and/or any other special campus event. Schedules will be adjusted as needed to provide coverage for these events.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $35,845
