Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to lead daily operations, inspire team members, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. As an Assistant Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your leadership will drive operational excellence and ensure the restaurant runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.

Responsibilities

Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and staff management.
Supervise daily shift activities, ensuring adherence to company standards for food safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Assist in managing inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate food and beverage stock levels.
Lead staff training initiatives on food handling, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service protocols to enhance team performance.
Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure accurate financial transactions during shifts.
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production, proper food safety practices, and quality control.
Support hiring processes by interviewing candidates and participating in staff development to foster a motivated team environment.
Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability.
Manage shift schedules, coordinate team efforts, and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain seamless service.
Promote a culture of hospitality excellence through effective communication, leadership, and team management.

Qualifications

Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food industry operations.
Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience with skills in team leadership and staff training.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary processes, and food safety management practices.
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis within a restaurant setting.
Excellent managerial communication skills paired with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities during busy shifts.
Basic math skills for order accuracy, financial transactions, and data analysis.
Hospitality management experience including casual dining or banquet settings is preferred; catering or bar experience is a plus.
