Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Operations Manager to help lead the daily operations of our hospitality services. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll partner closely with the General Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive operational excellence, develop high-performing teams, and contribute to the financial success of the hotel.

This role serves as the acting General Manager when needed and offers an excellent opportunity for hospitality leaders looking to grow into executive-level hotel management.

What You'll DoLead Hotel Operations

Oversee daily operations across multiple hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Serve as the General Manager in their absence.
Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and service excellence.

Drive Business Performance

Analyze financial performance and operational metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Develop pricing and revenue strategies that balance guest satisfaction with business objectives.
Maximize profitability through effective budgeting, labor management, cost controls, and operational efficiencies.

Develop and Inspire Teams

Recruit, coach, and mentor team members to achieve individual and organizational success.
Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for Front Desk Supervisors, Medical Concierges, and other team members.
Create a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and retention.

Expand Business Opportunities

Support sales and marketing initiatives to attract new business and strengthen customer relationships.
Identify opportunities to increase occupancy, revenue, and guest loyalty.
Build and maintain productive partnerships with vendors, community organizations, and key stakeholders.

Ensure Compliance & Quality

Maintain compliance with applicable hospitality, employment, and regulatory requirements.
Champion safety, service quality, and operational standards across all departments.
Ensure policies and procedures reflect Ochsner's commitment to excellence and integrity.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of leadership experience in hotel operations, including roles such as:
Operations Manager
Front Office Manager
Department Manager
Similar leadership positions within a full-service or select-service hotel

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Experience overseeing multi-department hotel operations.
Proven success driving financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development.

Key Skills for Success

Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
Financial and business acumen, including budgeting and revenue management.
Guest-focused mindset with exceptional customer service skills.
Experience developing sales opportunities and growing business relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, employees, vendors, and senior leadership.
Knowledge of hotel operations, staffing, workforce planning, and hospitality best practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Delphi systems.
