About the Role

As a Chemical Processing Technician, you will oversee complex refinery systems to ensure the efficient production of high-quality chemical outputs. By leveraging computerized control systems and precise analytical testing, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and safety standards across our facility.

Responsibilities

Monitor and adjust automated control systems and manual valves to maintain optimal production specifications for fatty acids and related products.
Execute startup and shutdown procedures, ensuring all systems operate within safety parameters and efficiency targets.
Conduct routine laboratory analysis, including Gas Chromatography and chemical property testing, to verify product quality.
Perform proactive equipment inspections and maintenance support to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
Document production data, laboratory results, and maintenance work orders accurately within SAP and electronic tracking systems.
Manage hazardous energy through strict adherence to Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) and isolation protocols.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues and participate in facility repairs.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment by identifying hazards and performing routine area sanitation.

Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent technical certification.
Proven experience operating industrial control systems or chemical processing equipment.
Strong understanding of safety protocols, including LOTO and emergency shutdown procedures.
Proficiency in data entry and basic computer-based process monitoring.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software.
Background in chemical laboratory testing and analytical instrumentation.
Demonstrated ability to train and mentor team members in technical operations.
Technical aptitude for mechanical troubleshooting and system maintenance.
