Interior Designer / Architectural Designer

Join Sacha Jacq Interiors

Sacha Jacq Interiors is a boutique residential interior design and construction management studio specialising in high end contemporary renovations throughout the Greater Boston area.

We are looking for a creative, organised and motivated Interior Designer or Architectural Designer to join our growing team. Our office is currently based in Lexington and will be relocating to Boston in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong design foundation who is looking to develop their skills while working on beautifully detailed residential projects from concept through construction.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Principal Designer on a variety of residential projects and be involved in all phases of the design process.

Your responsibilities will include:

Producing architectural drawings for residential renovations and additions.
Creating plans, elevations, construction drawings and 3D models using SketchUp and Layout.
Producing client presentations.
Editing images using Photoshop.
Researching and sourcing finishes, fixtures, furnishings and materials.
Assisting with specifications and schedules.
Placing and tracking orders.
Coordinating deliveries and maintaining project information.
Attending client meetings and site visits, taking measurements, photographs and notes.
Communicating with clients, contractors and suppliers.
Assisting with the organisation of project documentation and office systems.

Rendering experience is an advantage but not essential.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
Two to five years of residential design experience preferred.
Strong SketchUp and Layout skills.
Working knowledge of Photoshop.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine passion for residential design.
