Part-Time Budtender/Cannabis Sales Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

The Cannabis Sales Associate (Budtender) primary responsibility is to coordinate and facilitate sales transactions of the store and sustain an elevated level of customer service. The Budtender will provide superior service and guidance to customers. The Budtender will arrange and package customer orders, record sales in the POS system, and handle cash and cashless ATM transactions. The Budtender must maintain an organized environment and sustain a clean facility appearance. The Budtender embraces customer education, understands marketing, and complies with all documented state laws, regulations, and security procedures to safeguard staff and consumers. The role will collaborate with colleagues to provide feedback to leadership in determining high-demand products to stock and effective pricing suggestions based on prevailing market conditions. We are looking for a very people-oriented person with proven retail sales experience and the motivation to take their career to the next level. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Welcome customers and coordinate to maintain customer traffic flow, minimize waiting times and maximize sales while delivering high quality customer service.

● Educate customers on cannabis products along with the essential benefits and use of each product.

● Resolve customer requests, complaints, or compliments in person, and on the phone with professionalism.

● Adhere to and stay up to date on all company standards of operations and policies, as well as state and local laws.

● Take the initiative to stay up to date on sales and identify upselling opportunities.

● Ability to maintain efficiency in cash and product handling during high volume times.

● Ensure accurate information is recorded for all customer registrations, sales, and preferences.

● Assist with maintaining a well-organized and clean dispensary.

● Comply with all sales operational rules, policies, and procedures to advance the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.

● Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

● Maintain high standards of customer service with staff and the public at all times.

● Always communicate with management and staff in a professional manner.

● Ability to maintain high standards in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.

● Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.

● Ability to manage retail sales and customer service processes to achieve revenue goals.

● Posses a high level of organization, patience, and flexibility.

● Demonstrated passion to serve the cannabis community and local neighborhoods.

● Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

● Strong computer and information technology skills.

● Possess strong math skills to ensure accuracy in sales and compliance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

● Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail sales.

● Experience working in the cannabis industry is highly desirable.

● Experience with the point-of-sale system Dutchie is highly desirable.

● Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

● Experience working in retail and customer service experience is highly desirable.

● Ability to be motivated independently in addition to with others well.

● Excellent time management skills.

● Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S.

● Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

● Must be at least 21 years old.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Stand constantly.
Walk frequently.
Reach and twist/turn with hands and arms.
Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

COMPENSATION:

Up to $17-20 per hour based on experience.
