Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Technologist Supervisor (MLS/MT) to lead our clinical laboratory operations. Offering a $10k Sign on Bonus. In this pivotal role, you will oversee laboratory testing procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and supervise technical staff to maintain high-quality diagnostic services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in laboratory techniques, management skills, and a strong understanding of clinical assays and laboratory information systems. Your leadership will be instrumental in supporting accurate patient diagnoses, advancing research initiatives, and maintaining operational excellence within the laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily laboratory activities, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Oversee the performance of complex laboratory assays such as ELISA, PCR, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, flow cytometry, and immunoassays.
Manage laboratory quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) programs to uphold compliance with regulatory standards.
Lead and mentor technical staff, providing training on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and new methodologies.
Ensure proper documentation within laboratory information management systems (LIMS), including data collection, report generation, and record management.
Coordinate with clinical teams on specimen handling, blood sampling, venipuncture procedures, and physiology-related testing.
Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet operational demands.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and accreditation requirements related to clinical trials and research laboratories.
Implement continuous process improvements to enhance assay performance and overall laboratory efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels of reagents and supplies necessary for assays such as immunoassays and molecular testing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/MT) is required.
Proven supervisory or management experience within a clinical or research laboratory setting.
Extensive knowledge of laboratory techniques including ELISA, PCR, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and aseptic techniques.
Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures involving specimen collection/processing and blood sampling.
Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), document management systems, and data management tools.
Experience with quality control/quality assurance protocols (QA/QC) and compliance management in regulated environments.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy basics, physiology principles related to blood sampling and vital signs measurement.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Strong analysis skills for interpreting assay results accurately within clinical or research contexts.
