Full Job Description

Cetrulo LLP, a well-established law firm specializing in insurance defense and the defense of toxic tort law suits seeks to add a Senior Paralegal/ Supervisor to the team. They will supervise the productivity and skills of the paralegal staff at the firm by monitoring work product and deadlines, providing training and support, and monitoring billing targets. They will also provide paralegal level support for attorneys. Position will report to the Director of Paralegals.

Responsibilities will include; Review resumes for open paralegal positions; Onboard and train new paralegals on job skills and requirements; Act as first contact for any questions related to the paralegal role, offering advice and guidance on substantive work; Monitor deadlines and review work product where needed, providing corrections and hands on continued training to paralegals; Monitor paralegal billing targets, and provide advice and training where targets are not being met, or billing requirements are not complied with; Back up paralegals during PTO times for their handling attorneys while they are away; Provide paralegal support for attorneys as required; Meet individual billing target based on number of attorneys that you are providing direct support; Escalate performance issues to HR when training intervention is not producing desired results; Stay knowledgeable about changes to paralegal procedures both internally and as dictated by the courts, and communicate these changes to the paralegal team; Conduct paralegal meetings at least quarterly to provide ongoing training for problem areas identified across the paralegal staff.

Requirements
4 years of paralegal experience and 1-4 years of experience managing a team
Experience as a paralegal in general liability
Experience billing for work and meeting a monthly billing target
Experience drafting legal documents
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
