About Yourgi

Yourgi is a pet care marketplace connecting pet parents with trusted local pet professionals for dog walking, sitting, and boarding. We are backed by Destination Pet, one of the largest pet care networks in the country. We are growing quickly and expanding into new neighborhoods, and we are looking for pet people on the ground to help us do it well.

About the role

We are hiring pet parents in Houston to be Yourgi Pro Ambassadors. This is a paid, part-time field role for someone who already uses pet care services and enjoys talking to people about their pets.

As an Ambassador, you will book and experience local pet care services in your own neighborhood, tell us what the experience was actually like, and introduce the pet professionals you meet to Yourgi. You are our eyes and ears in the market and a friendly face for our brand.

We pay for the pet care services you book as part of this work. Your hourly rate is on top of that.

What you will do

Book pet care services (walks, drop-ins, sitting) in your neighborhood using a company-provided budget
Evaluate the experience and report back on service quality, pricing, communication, and what stood out
Meet local pet professionals in person and share information about joining Yourgi as a Pro
Pass along contact information for professionals who express interest
Attend occasional local pet parent and pet professional events
Share observations about pet care demand and availability in your area

What we are looking for

You are a pet owner in Houston or the surrounding suburbs
You currently use or have used pet care services (walking, sitting, boarding, daycare)
You are comfortable striking up a conversation with someone new
You are reliable about scheduling, showing up, and reporting back on time
You can write a short, clear summary of an experience
You have a smartphone and reliable transportation
Reside in a suburban neighborhood is a plus, since that is where pet care demand is growing fastest

No prior professional experience required. This is not a sales job and there is no quota.

Compensation and perks

$30.00 per hour for time spent booking, evaluating, reporting, and attending events
All pet care services booked for this role are paid for by Yourgi
Complimentary Yourgi service credits for your own pets
Flexible scheduling around your existing commitments
Early access to Yourgi events in your market
