AP Tutors (Calculus BC, Biology, U.S. History & Physics C: Mechanics) – Part-Time

Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid: In-person & Online)

JINHAO LLC is seeking passionate and experienced AP Tutors to join our growing academic team. We are currently hiring tutors for the following subjects:

AP Calculus BC
AP Biology
AP U.S. History
AP Physics C: Mechanics

This is an excellent opportunity for educators who enjoy helping motivated high school students succeed in rigorous AP coursework and prepare for College Board AP exams.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring (1:1, 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4).
Teach AP course content according to the College Board curriculum.
Develop customized lesson plans based on each student's academic goals and learning needs.
Help students improve conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and exam strategies.
Assign and review homework, practice exams, essays, and AP-style questions.
Track student progress and provide regular feedback.
Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
Strong knowledge of at least one of the following subjects:
AP Calculus BC
AP Biology
AP U.S. History
AP Physics C: Mechanics
Previous experience teaching or tutoring AP courses is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with the College Board AP curriculum and exam format.
Excellent communication and teaching skills.
Reliable, organized, and passionate about education.
Ability to teach both online and in person is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in high school, college, or AP programs.
Demonstrated success in helping students achieve high AP exam scores.
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Availability to continue teaching during the academic year after the summer.

Job Details

Part-time
Flexible scheduling
Evening and weekend availability preferred
Online tutors may teach remotely from home and are not required to come to the office.
In-person tutoring sessions are held at our Cambridge office (245 Main St, Cambridge, MA).
Our office is conveniently located just a short walk from MIT. Tutors with MIT parking access may park on campus and walk to our office.

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on qualifications, teaching experience, and subject expertise.
