Full Job Description

Delta Projects is a Human Services Agency that supports adults with intellectual disabilities, traumatic and acquired brain injuries and other developmental challenges in residential, day and employment support programs. We also provide home-based support to families of children with developmental disabilities with a goal of keeping the child in their own home. Our dedicated staff support individuals in 20 plus communities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.

This clinical role offers a flexible work schedule as well as assistance with licensure.

Delta Projects is seeking a licensed behavioral clinician, to provide behavioral/clinical consultation and oversight to our residential and community-based day supports, based in Dedham but extending from Weymouth to Attleboro. The Behavioral Clinician develops specific behavioral change plans for individuals and behavioral health protocols for target populations and identifies, triages, and assists individuals with both medical, as well as behavioral health problems within their long-term Department of Developmental Services residential home. In addition, the Behavioral Clinician develops individualized education strategies to support skills training in the residential program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide clinical oversight of the residentially based behavioral treatment program, as embodied in the Positive Behavioral Support Plan and the activities required to maintain them at optimal efficacy. Works collaboratively and effectively with the teams, including the individual receiving services, direct support staff, residential managers, families, physicians, healthcare staff and other behavioral health professionals.
Conducts behavioral assessments and devises treatment planning tailored to individual needs.
Participates in clinical evaluations for referral and admission to Delta Projects.
Provides effective and efficient management of assigned caseload.
Participates in peer consultations, staff meetings and continuing education; ensures clinical data is current and in accordance with the treatment plans.
Facilitates referrals to appropriate internal and/or external resources where indicated.
Participates in program development as requested and where possible.
Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies.
Demonstrates continued growth in the essential job competencies.
Utilizes effective, dignified, empowering and creative engagement strategies to ensure individuals are at the center and lead in their ISP wherever appropriate.
Maintains up to date clinical records, including Positive Behavior Support Plans and ongoing revisions as warranted; monthly data graphed quarterly or as needed for ISPs, team meetings, psychiatry/therapy appointments; and data for annual Medication Treatment Plans.
Advocates for individual’s needs within the residential programs, as well as with external agencies.
Provides Orientation and In-service Trainings to direct support staff on such topics as Positive Behavioral Supports, Trauma-Informed Care, Crisis Intervention and Power Struggles.
Flexible schedule to include visits to the homes on late afternoons/evenings, sometimes or as needed.
Ensures that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Delta Projects Human Rights Policies and practices.
Attends and actively participates in supervision and team meetings.
Assures compliance with state and funding source regulations and policies.
Participates in a rotating weekly on-call schedule for emergency clinical purposes and consultation via telephone.
Performs all duties in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
Provides direct supports to individuals as necessary and when conditions are warranted.

Qualifications :

Minimum of three to five years related experience and/or training working with populations diagnosed with various disorders (including but not limited to developmental disabilities, behavioral disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, etc.); experience with individuals residing in long-term residential programs preferred
Clinical licensure required, such as: BCBA (Board Certified Behavioral Analyst), LABA-Licensed Applied Behavioral Analyst, LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) or LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)
Proactively maintain credentials annually
Knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports, including Applied Behavior Analysis and/or Cognitive Behavior Therapy (additional training available on site).
Current and valid driver’s license in the state of residence
Qualifying criminal background and driving record
Exemplary communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
