About us

The Law Offices of Alan M. Cohen & Associates LLC is a highly respected premier commercial litigation law firm focusing on commercial collections and construction litigation. We are professional, agile and growing. We operate in a collegiate collaborative manner and work together as a team.

About the role:

Law Offices of Alan M. Cohen & Associates LLC is looking for a Senior Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 8 years of commercial litigation (preferably collections and construction law) and substantial civil non-small claim trial experience to join our team. This position has partnership opportunity for the right candidate. You should be detail oriented and be able to work well with others in a team environment. Candidate preferably has portable billings and existing clients. Although we do not currently offer health insurance we are commencing to explore same.

Pay is commensurate with experience, ability and verifiable portable billings

Responsibilities:

Drafting, filing pleadings, motions;
Court appearances arguing in support of motions or opposing motions;
Preparing discovery and other legal documents;
Communicating with clients, witnesses, courts, sheriff's and other attorneys;
Investigating and analyzing client accounts;
Investigating client’s claims;
Managing client files and accounts;
Trying bench and jury cases all courts;
All other aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts;
Managing personnel
Client development

Can think and advocate effectively on your feet
Ability to communicate well both verbally and written;
Ability to handle multiple cases at once;
Ability to think critically and problem solve independently;
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and be a team player;
