POSITION SUMMARY
The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. Responsible for the
front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include:
registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting
security walks. The Night Auditor performs the duties of a Front Desk Agent and completes, balances and files
night audit reports on the various areas of the hotel (i.e. food & beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, gift shop,
etc.) to provide accurate, timely information in accordance with cash handling, credit card processing and
accounting policies and procedures.
The Night Auditor must also comply with all guest service basics such as uniforms, nametags, and proper
greeting. They should be knowledgeable about hotel facilities, surrounding areas, and services to assist guests
as appropriate. Finally, they must ensure all communication containing Company, hotel, brand, guest, and
employee information is consistent with privacy policies, practices, and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Audit, balance, post and report on Guest room charges & Food and Beverage; balance folios,
corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, server’s and/or desk agents paperwork, over/short
figures and house accounts to ensure accuracy and proper cash handling procedures are followed.
Initiate and complete End of Day process.
Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports
Perform duties across various departments during overnight hours, including those of a Front Desk
Agent, Bellman, Shuttle Driver, general security, Housekeeping, and general maintenance.
Manage items for Lost and Found ; perform periodic security checks to ensure required areas are
locked and secure.
Ensure the nightly walk-through includes the removal of all room service trays and the straightening of
the pool, Jacuzzi, and fitness areas.
Utilize suggestive selling skills and company sales programs to maximize revenue and occupancy levels
Attend department meetings as scheduled
Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures
Report emergencies, injuries, accidents, missing articles, damage, safety hazards etc. to management
Report any deviation from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management
Perform special projects, tasks, duties and other responsibilities as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered
"inside" if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside. Work is normally performed in an
interior hotel environment. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires basic safety precautions and use of
applicable protective equipment.
Physical requirements include ability to frequently move around the hotel property; remaining both stationary
and standing positions for extended periods of time; bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up
to 50 pounds. The job requires close vision with or without corrective lenses. This position may be required to
operate a motor vehicle.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
