Apheresis Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift - 10-hour shifts, Mon-Fri, one day off per M-F. Shifts are 6:30am-5pm or 7am-5:30pm. 2-3 on call shifts per month required.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Apheresis Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing therapeutic apheresis procedures, which involve removing specific blood components to treat various medical conditions.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for apheresis procedures by reviewing medical histories, explaining the process, and ensuring informed consent is obtained.
Operate and monitor apheresis equipment with precision, ensuring optimal blood component separation while maintaining strict aseptic technique.
Assess patient vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Maintain accurate medical documentation, including procedure notes, patient assessments, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

Current RN licensure in good standing with the appropriate state licensing board.
Current BLS certification
1 year of apheresis nursing experience
