WSP is currently initiating a search for On-Call Emergency Management Specialists – Safety . Since the actual work location will be the deployment site(s), these positions have the potential to report out of any WSP USA office, which could include Boston, MA; Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Birmingham, AL; New Orleans, LA; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX.
Emergency management cadre positions are on-call and assignments are on an as-needed basis . Cadre members are not eligible for benefits.
Cadre members are asked for a 30 day commitment; availability to deploy with little to no advance notice (typically within 24-48 hours); and during deployments, ability to potentially work 8-12 hours/day; 7 days/week.

Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma
- 7+ years’ experience, including 1+ years in safety and/or 1+ years an Emergency Management role (Response, Recovery or related), or equivalent.
- 3 years of cumulative safety experience, within the last 10 years, managing or implementing a SOH program on projects similar in industry type, size, and complexity as the project described in the contract scope of work.
- 24 hours of documented formal classroom or online SOH-related training within the past five years and must maintain competency by taking 8 hours every year for the duration of the contract.
- Broad knowledge of Safety and Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques.
- OSHA 30 Construction, General Industry or higher OSHA certification (DOL Wallet Card Required after 90 Days of Course Completion)
- Intermediate computer experience with Microsoft office, Adobe and mobile applications
- Travel Required - Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice (typically within 24-48 hours) and potentially for long durations.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $30-$35/hour
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
