Job Overview

Live-In Women’s Sober Living Home Director

Location: Merrimack Valley, Massachusetts

We are seeking a compassionate, accountable, and recovery-focused woman to serve as the Live-In Director of a women’s sober living home built on the principles of the 12 Steps.

This is more than a management position- it is an opportunity to create a safe, structured, and supportive home where women can build a strong foundation for long-term recovery.

Duties

· Foster a safe, respectful, recovery-oriented living environment.

· Uphold and consistently enforce house rules and policies.

· Support a culture of accountability, honesty, and personal responsibility.

· Encourage active participation in 12-Step recoverin, including meeting attendance, sponsorship, and service work.

· Conduct house meetings and promote healthy communication among residents.

· Assist with resident orientation and intake.

· Coordinate drug and alcohol screenings as required.

· Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with ownership and referral sources.

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home including cleanliness, safety, and household routines.

· Respond calmly and professionally to emergencies and resident concerns.

Requirements

· Female applicants only.

· Strong commitment to 12-Step recovery and its principles.

· Minimum of 1 year of continuous sobriety. 2+ years is prefered

· Experience working in addiction recovery, sober living, behavioral health, peer recovery, or residential services preferred.

· Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and sound judgement.

· Ability to maintain healthy boundaries while building supportive relationships.

· Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

· Ability to pass background screening and meet employment requirements.

· Leads by example and has lived recovery experioence

· Believes in structure, accountability, and compassion.

· Is emotionally mature and dependable.

· Understands that recovery is a lifestyle, not just abstinence.

· Can inspire hope while maintaining clear expectations.
