MakingCosmetics Inc has been in business for over 27 years and located in the Redmond Ridge area. We are looking for a F/T Picker/Packer to help in our shipping department. We are looking for someone who works well in a small Shipping/Warehouse team environment; organized, fast paced and the ability to pick/pack cosmetic ingredients on a consistent basis as well as assist shipping department with various tasks and special projects. In addition, we provide a matching 401k. We pay employees on a monthly basis (end of month).
Job Duties:
· Experience with packing both small and large item on a consistent basis (some ingredients up to 50+lbs) with a sense of urgency in order to meet daily team deadlines and company quota .
· Order fulfillment – accurate picking from pick list (hand to cart), detail oriented a must.
· Responsible for closing boxes to ensure finished product is neat and professional.
· Work with the team on weekly warehouse cleaning (sweeping, moving pallets, dusting and garbage).
· Assist with stocking boxes and shipping supplies on a weekly basis.
· Transporting bulk items from one location to another.
· Assist with pallet banding.
Additional Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist with physical inventory of bulk warehouse ingredients
- Keep your work area clean and free of clutter
- Ensure safety protocols while working in a Warehouse environment
- Record and request lot COAs for orders when required through proper Slack channel.
Essential Job Functions/Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be on your feet for an extended period of time, including lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping.
- Must be able to work in various temperatures in the Warehouse (cold/hot temps depending on season)
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet departments goals on a daily basis.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- 1+ years of Shipping/Warehouse (picking/packing/processing) experience
- Must be dependable and reliable on a full-time basis
- Computer experience needed
- Capable of meeting deadlines and work in a team environment
- Good organizational and time management skills
