About the Role:
This is an onsite position in Everett, WA from 7:00AM to 3:30PM. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods into and out of the organization. This position is responsible for accurately processing incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and to prevent discrepancies. The clerk collaborates closely with warehouse staff, suppliers, and transportation providers to coordinate timely deliveries and resolve any shipping issues. Ultimately, this position supports the overall supply chain operations by maintaining organized, compliant, and efficient shipping and receiving processes.
Key Responsibilities

Receive incoming materials, components, parts, supplies, and equipment and verify quantities, part numbers, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.

Inspect incoming shipments for visible damage and discrepancies and promptly report issues to Purchasing, Quality, or appropriate personnel.

Accurately enter receiving and shipping transactions into the company's ERP/inventory management system.

Maintain complete documentation and traceability for aerospace parts and materials, including lot, batch, serial number, heat number, and certification information when applicable.

Prepare domestic and international shipments in accordance with customer requirements, company procedures, and applicable carrier regulations.

Package parts and materials appropriately to prevent damage, contamination, corrosion, or loss during transportation.

Generate shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and other required documentation.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments regarding material availability, discrepancies, shortages, and shipping priorities.

Maintain organized receiving, shipping, and storage areas and ensure materials are properly identified and located.

Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory activities.

Follow established procedures for nonconforming, rejected, damaged, or suspect material.

Ensure proper handling and segregation of customer-owned, controlled, or special-process materials.

Operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, when authorized.

Maintain compliance with company safety procedures, quality requirements, and applicable aerospace standards.

Perform other warehouse, material-control, and shipping/receiving duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED.
-
1–3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or material-control experience; manufacturing experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Basic computer skills and experience with ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems.

Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, part numbers, and shipping documentation.

Ability to safely lift and move materials consistent with the physical requirements of the position.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and organization.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing.

Experience with aerospace material traceability and certification requirements.

Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and/or ISO 9001.

Forklift certification or prior powered industrial truck experience.

Experience with domestic and international freight shipments.

Familiarity with export-control requirements, such as ITAR/EAR, where applicable.

Experience using an ERP system such as Epicor, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

Physical & Work Environment
This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping/receiving environment. The employee may routinely stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move materials and may be exposed to typical manufacturing noise, equipment, and warehouse conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
