Job Description

As an Armed Security Officer - Access Control in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Our Armed Patrol Officers in a government location conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. This role combines strong communication, customer service, and readiness while supporting a people-first culture built on teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation at Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agencies as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor traffic, and following post orders related to restricted or sensitive areas.
Maintain assigned duty gear and firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable regulations, while carrying out post responsibilities with professionalism and attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
