Location: Idaho Springs, CO | On-site
Schedule: Part-Time | Approximately 20 Hours/Week | Monday–Thursday
Pay: $31–$36/hour

Key Responsibilities

As the Part-Time Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the organization's day-to-day payroll and accounts payable functions, including:

Process biweekly payroll for fewer than 30 employees
Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoices, checks, and electronic payments
Review payroll information for accuracy and ensure timely processing
Maintain accurate payroll, accounts payable, and financial records
Ensure payroll and AP deadlines are consistently met
Follow established municipal accounting policies and procedures
Assist with reconciliations and other general accounting activities as needed
Provide additional accounting and administrative support to the finance team

Qualifications

The ideal Part-Time Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist will bring:

2+ years of payroll experience preferred
Accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting experience
Experience processing payroll independently or with limited supervision
Caselle accounting software experience strongly preferred
Municipal, government, or public-sector accounting experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
